Mining Picks
1.Introduction of Mining picks
Mining picks body made from cold extrusion of high quality 42CrMo steel, the density is high, and there is no decarburization. Adopts special heat treatment process, there is no oxidation. Mining picks head adopts isothermal quenching process, hardness will not be reduced. Cemented carbide uses high quality YG11C produced by large-scale manufacturer.
2.Application Range of Mining Picks
It is mainly used for coal mining and drilling of roadway, tunnel and ground ditching. Used together with shearer, road header, pavement planer, etc.
3.Classification of Mining Picks
Shearer picks can be divided into ordinary mining picks, wear-resistant mining picks, hard rock mining picks, no spark mining picks, hard rock mining picks, and sandstone mining picks.
4.Processing Technology of Mining Picks
Heat treatment process of 42CrMo cutter body is: 840℃ oil quenching+360～400℃ tempering. Heat treatment process of 35CrMnSi cutter body is: 880℃ oil quenching+430℃ tempering. If it is possible, you can use 880℃ heating and heat preservation+280～320℃ isothermal quenching, then use air cooling process.
5.Advantages Compared with Traditional Mining Picks
5.1. Long service life: it is 1-1.5 times than traditional mining picks.
5.2. High working efficiency: it is 2.5 times than traditional mining picks.
5.3. Energy saving: because of the reduction of changing frequency, the downtime of shearer is reduced, this also reduces mining cost.
Production quality standards:
A. Hardness of cone part: HRC＞65B, hardness of mining picks rod: HRC28°C-32°C
B. Surface hardness: HV＞2000. Using special heat treatment process makes it up to 40-50°C, there is no oxidation.
