Mineral Processing Experiment
Lab Introduction
As one of the most important basis of next project design, ‘Mineral Processing Experiment Report’ brings significance of guiding actual production. The lab provides a complete set of
mineral processing research services for mining development. The lab is fully

Process
Sample Preparation
Receiving ore samples, core
samples, slurry samples or liquid samples through a range of processes including,
but not limited to, core logging/cutting/photography, sizing, screening, sub-sampling,
crushing & grinding, pulverising, de-sliming.
Chemical Testing & Analysis
Chemical testing & analysis of the
material components (ore structure, mineral and types of ore) and chemical
properties (elements, the particle size screening, density, ore relative
grindability) of crude ore；
Mineral Processing Experiment
In order to get the optimum conditions
of mineral processing, firstly there’s exploratory experiment. After the
technical team fully analyzed the physical and chemical properties of the ore
samples, combined with a solid theoretical basis and rich practical experience,
a preliminary exploration experiment plan was formulated. And then detailed
experiment is carried out, including grinding fineness, reagent dosage, open and closed circuit
experiment.
Sedimentation Experiment
After obtaining the final products, technicians
will analyze the recovery rate, and then take sedimentation experiment of
concentrate and tailing as references for equipment selection.
Analytical Services
Analyzing mineral processing testing
with in-house wet chemistry, aqua- regia digestion, titrations, diagnostic gold
analysis, AAS (Atomic Absorption), and TGA (Thermogravimetry Analysis)
analysis.
Experiment Result
After finishing all the experiment, the lab will submit a detailed ‘Mineral Pro-cessing Experiment Report’ by summarizing all the experiment processes. In the last part of report, the optimum technological process and technological parameters will also be presented.
Quality Management
Internal and external testing: random
inspection of the material during the test cycle or Irregular sampling
inspection for the sample ore.

The types of experiments HOT can
provide are as follows:
1. Mineral Processing Experiment
The mineral processing experiment is
carried out on a laboratory device or a small experiment instrument, and is
generally used only for evaluation of ore deposits.
2. Small
Scale Mineral Processing Experiment
For most projects, it can meet the requirements
of preliminary design of process and product plan, selection of main process
equipment and comparison of design alternatives.
3. Scale-up
Continuous Experiment
It can be more reliable to provide
reference and guidance for process design, equipment selection. It is suitable
for large and medium-sized projects and refractory projects.
4. Semi
Commercial Experiment
The purpose of the experiment is to
verify the process plan of the laboratory experiment, and to obtain the
technical and economic indicators similar to the practical production.
5. Commercial
Experiment
The commercial experiment is carried
out in a series of local commercial plant established by production or
concentrator plant or even the whole process of the experiment, because of its
equipment, process, technology and production conditions or the future design
is basically the same, so the technical and economic indicators and technical
parameters are more reliable than semi commercial experiment.
6. Single Technical Experiment
For existing mineral processing plants, when equipment
/ process / agent / material needs to be replaced / upgraded / modified, a
single technical experiment is needed to
get technical support.
